Meet the Bloom Team

Tampa’s leading pelvic floor therapists are here to help you relieve your concerns.

Dr. Saige C. Evans, OTD, OTR/L

SOUTH TAMPA CLINICAL DIRECTOR & PELVIC FLOOR THERAPIST

Dr. Saige Evans’ specialty is navigating the vulvovaginal or pelvic pain experience with her clients. She recognizes firsthand how frustrating it can be to live a life with an invisible pelvic pain condition and wants her clients to know that they are not alone in their journey.

Dr. Saige frequently works with clients experiencing vaginismus, vulvodynia, interstitial cystitis, pudendal neuralgia, and other pelvic pain conditions to help them get to the root of their problems, find long-term relief, and get their lives back. For optimal outcomes, she prioritizes seamless collaboration with her clients’ medical care teams.

She offers manual therapies, including myofascial and trigger point release, both internally and externally as appropriate. She also looks beyond the pelvic area to other factors that may be perpetuating the pain cycle. Her background in Sensory Integration following completion of the USC Sensory Integration brings a unique perspective to pelvic floor therapy, offering insight into how our bodies process and respond to all the sensory information constantly flooding our nervous system and how this relates to pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, and incontinence. This includes analyzing potential contributors within the person's daily habits and routines and supporting their nervous system with down training both in the clinic and with a plan for at home.

Nicole Woodruff, MS, OTR/L, PCES, GTS, RYT-200, RPYT

PELVIC FLOOR THERAPIST

Nicole Woodruff combines her 12 years of clinical experience and diverse trainings for a truly unique and holistic healing experience. She uses a multimodal approach to facilitate pain relief and promote healing beyond pelvic floor dysfunction.

Nicole was first drawn to pelvic floor therapy after the birth of her first child when she quickly learned what it was like to live with pelvic floor dysfunction. Specialties include treatment of female sexual pain, chronic pelvic girdle, tailbone & low back pain, C-section scar release, interstitial cystitis, urge incontinence, and prolapse.

She blends nervous system down training, myofascial release, trigger point therapies, and movement to facilitate healing. Nicole is also certified in the Graston Technique, a specialized form of manual therapy that helps identify and treat scar tissue to relieve pain and promote healing. She is a certified Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) and yoga instructor, providing her with a unique lens for looking at movements of the body to optimize function & comfort.

Dr. Kristy Clements, PT, DPT, PCES

PELVIC FLOOR THERAPIST

Dr. Kristy Clements specializes in the treatment of the pelvic floor, including incontinence, return to exercise, abdominal weakness, diastasis recti healing, and optimizing core & pelvic floor function through all stages of menopause. Dr. Kristy is a movement specialist who utilizes a whole-body approach to address biomechanics and their impact on pelvic floor dysfunction, including posture, breathing, as well as nervous system & lifestyle habits to help her clients reach their goals.

She currently holds a certification as a Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES). Dr. Kristy developed a passion for pelvic floor physical therapy during her pregnancy when she realized the lack of education and preparation for birth and returning to activities and exercise postpartum. After experiencing preeclampsia and an emergency C-section, Dr. Kristy took a deep dive into the pelvic floor world to help herself get back into running without pelvic floor dysfunction.

Dr. Alexis Hawks, OTD, OTR/L

PELVIC FLOOR THERAPIST

Dr. Alexis Hawks is passionate about maximizing pregnancy wellness, labor and delivery preparation, and early intervention for postpartum sexual pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. She believes that education is the most important tool in the perinatal experience and prioritizes this to help her clients enter their birthing experience feeling confident and prepared.

Dr. Alexis approaches care with a whole-body approach to facilitate long-term results, looking at the whole person rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis. She has conducted research on the biopsychosocial impact of being a new mother, enriching her understanding and informing her treatment strategies for the perinatal population.

Dr. Alexis’ passion for pelvic floor therapy stems from her own life experiences following pregnancy and the birth of her son. It was during this time she discovered the changing dynamics of pregnancy, the impact of pelvic health on everyday life, and the disconnect in patient care. Her experiences and research bring a deep and authentic understanding of pelvic health and its impact on every aspect of our daily lives. She believes in a whole-body approach, looking at the whole person rather than focusing solely on a condition or diagnosis to facilitate long term results. Her experience collectively drives her connection with her clients as she delivers individualized care that promotes confidence and healing.
