At Bloom Pelvic Therapy, our focus is finding the root cause of your symptoms and addressing that specific thing, so you can get the relief you’ve been hoping for.
Here at Bloom, it’s much more than just “do your Kegels” and giving you a pre-determined printout of home exercises. You are an individual with a unique history and specific needs, and we honor that inside our evaluations and every session after. Our approach is specific, collaborative, and individualized so that we can address your specific concerns and goals in a way that fits your lifestyle.
Bloom is built on a mission to do better, to educate, and to empower. Every inch of our practice has been meticulously planned out to give you the best and most comfortable experience.
Our new office space in St. Pete, FL opened in May 2025 and we’re so proud to offer pelvic therapy in this new region officially crossed the bridge to bring our specialized pelvic health services to Pinellas County.
While many pelvic conditions and symptoms are common, they do not need to be accepted as your “new normal”. At Bloom Pelvic Therapy, we treat the most common and the most complex of cases, and we look forward to helping you find the solution you’ve been hoping for.
Diagnoses and Symptoms We Treat
Pelvic Pain
The pelvic pain bucket is extensive and we’d love to help you find lasting relief. We want you to know that we understand how frustrating pelvic pain can be and we also know that it’s not something you need to “just deal with”. Inside pelvic therapy, we’ll determine your individual therapy needs based on your specific symptoms and medical history. You can learn more about pelvic pain here.
Some of the symptoms and diagnoses we treat:
Pain with sex (dyspareunia)
External genital pain or vulvar pain
Vaginal pain (vaginismus)
Pudendal neuralgia
Tailbone pain (coccydynia)
Endometriosis, interstitial cystitis(IC)/painful bladder syndrome
Levator ani syndrome (proctalgia fugax).
Orthopedic Pelvic Floor Therapy
Our therapists are trained to address not only the pelvic floor but also the entire body. As you know, our body is made up of many systems that work together and it’s no different here. The root cause of pelvic floor symptoms could be something orthopedic and vice versa. Our whole-body approach allows us to ensure the entire system is functioning well, together.
Common orthopedic symptoms we treat:
SI joint pain
Low back pain
Hip pain
Knee pain
Pelvic girdle pain
Prenatal and Postpartum Pelvic Floor Therapy
Your pregnancy and postpartum experience doesn’t have to be uncomfortable and full of guessing. Our pelvic therapists are trained to help keep you active and pain free throughout all stages of pregnancy as well as get you back to what you love after birth. We also love helping women prepare their body for birth to mitigate the odds for a poor labor and delivery experience and diagnoses secondary to that such as tearing and prolapse.
What we can help you with:
Decrease any coning & doming
Alleviate any leaking
Help you prepare for labor & delivery
Prevent birth-related trauma
Postpartum symptoms like leaking, diastasis, pain with intercourse, prolapse
C-section recovery
Urinary Leaking, Urgency, and Constipation
Leaking when you laugh, cough, sneeze, or jump, rushing to the bathroom when you put your keys in the door or take your shoes off, feel like you need to use the bathroom every time you see one, can’t seem to have a consistent schedule or can’t seem to go at all when it comes to bowel movements, pelvic therapy can help you. We know that leaking during daily life and exercise can be chalked up as a part of getting older, having a kid, or going too heavy while lifting. But here’s the thing: that’s not the case and we’d love to help you. You don’t have to always wear a pad and black clothing. We’ve got you.
What we can help you with:
Leaking urine when you’re away from the bathroom: while coughing, sneezing, jumping, running, laughing, etc.
Feeling like you need to rush to the bathroom
If you have a high frequency of “just-in-case” peeing
Not being able to make it through the night without using the bathroom
Decreasing stomach and pelvic discomfort related to bowel movements
Relieving constipation
Decreasing urgency & frequency
Controlling unwanted loss of gas
Symptoms related to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
Prolapse or Pelvic Floor Heaviness
Feelings of heaviness, pressure, and pain in the pelvic region can be a sign of prolapse. If you Google’d prolapse (please don’t, just go check out our blog on prolapse instead), you’ll likely hear other sources tell you that nothing can be done if you’ve been diagnosed with a prolapse. Our therapists are here to let you know that this is not true.
We addresses prolapse with a whole-body approach through strengthening, internal and external manual therapies as needed, biomechanics, pressure management, and creating optimal bladder and bowel habits so that you can maximize your conservative treatment strategy.
What we can help you with:
Feeling of heaviness in the pelvic region
Seeing something different at the opening of the vagina
Prolapse diagnosis of any grade or stage
Post Surgical Care
We specialize in helping you recover from abdominal and pelvic surgeries including, but not limited to: hysterectomy, an endometriosis-related procedure, a prostatectomy, fibroid removal, prolapse surgery, and c-section.
It’s common practice for individuals to not receive a referral for pelvic therapy after these extensive surgeries, but our recommendation is that pelvic therapy be on the top of your list for pain management, scar treatment, and returning to daily life and exercise without complications.
How we can help:
Education around activity for now and for the future and how to move with less pain
Decrease pain and discomfort at and around the surgical site
Improve scar mobility and appearance
Men’s Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic floor therapy is not just for women, we all have a pelvic floor. Men’s pelvic floor dysfunction is incredibly prominent and is an underserved specialty. We are proud to offer treatment inside our clinic.
How we can help:
Relief of constipation
Prostatectomy recovery
Relief from tailbone pain or generalize pelvic floor pain
Sexual dysfunction
